
Miss Anna Siukkonen
Miss Anna Siukkonen (or Sinkkonen), 30 a single woman from Parikkala
in eastern Finland (near the
current Russian border) boarded the Titanic at Southampton. She was travelling
to Washington DC;
Brighton, MA or Boston, MA (sources do not agree). She shared a cabin with
Lyyli Silvén.
Anna claimed to have left the Titanic on the first lifeboat to be lowered (in fact most likely lifeboat
10).
Upon her arrival in New York she and Lyyli were quartered in an Jewish "Welcome Home" on 225
East 13th St.
