Well, as you probably guessed, Sanna was the one who mostly used the connection and discovered the wonders of chatting online. She talked to a lot of nice people including a Dutch guy who called himself Driving DutchMAN.

Robert was a 28 yr old truckdriver from Holland. He was interested in computers and decided to get an internet connection about the same time as Sanna. By a coincidence they ended up in the same chat service and even in the same room. They started talking and soon noticed that they really had a lot in common.

The conversations continued for about 5 months... Sanna & Robert found theirselves online almost every day. And even if they didn't happen to be online at the same time, they found out that e-mail was a really great way to stay in touch also. They made the phone companies in Finland and Holland very happy!

Sanna's screen name was Sanna Johanna. But when "DD" started calling her Princess, she soon changed her name to Finnprincess and then to LilPrincess. DD later became Gremlin which suits his character very well.

Finally in May 1997, Sanna got enough courage to book a ticket to Amsterdam for the weekend. She used money that she had self earned and just to make sure made up a story to her mother that they had already met before. But she knew that she just had to see Robert.

They were both very nervous but everything turned out to be great. Thanks to chatting so much, they felt like they already knew each other very well. They spent a great weekend together.

After the weekend Robert decided that she had to see Sanna again soon and booked a ticket to Helsinki so that he could be there for Sanna's graduation. They were both very happy to see each other again. And even if Robert had to meet Sanna's whole family and friends at the same time, he wasn't scared away... just the opposite.

Since then Sanna & Robert didn't only make the phone companies happy, but also the airlines! Sanna visited Holland 6 times during one year... and Robert decided to spend 3 weeks in Finland for the Christmas holidays. 2 days before Christmas, Sanna & Robert got engaged!

After that they had a great time until Robert had to return to Holland. Then they both had some bad luck... but this only made the bond stonger. Sanna flew to Holland again around Easter... and the decision was made, that Sanna would transfer to a Dutch school and move to Holland to be with Robert.

At the end of July 1998, Sanna finally moved and they were finally together! It was a dream come true. Sanna continued her studies and Robert was still working a lot. And now instead of coming to Holland for the holidays Sanna found herself spending her vacations in Finland with Robert.

Sanna & Robert started looking for a house of their own. After months of looking they finally found one in Southern Holland. With a lot of help from both families, and after a lot of sweat (and tears) the house is finally starting to look like what they imagined it could be. And even the yard is getting shape now.

On July 31st, 1999 Sanna & Robert got married! The wedding was held in Finland with all the closest relatives and friends. The day was really a dream come true! The Princess finally got her prince!

In the beginnig of May 2005 we finally got the right opertunity to move to Finland, so in the beginning of June 2005 we finally did what we have been planning of for several years.
