(07-2000) Rhonda Misse (Terbell) just got a promotion. She is now a criminalist at the Tucson Police Department. Congrats! (06-24-2000) April Placencia just got married about 2 weeks ago! She is working for the Four-Corners Math/Science Program, which helps students who come from poor financial backgrounds or have no previous college graduates in their family. Congratulations Cynthia! (06-24-2000) In Teacher News: We've lost 3 teachers to retirement this year. Joining Mr. Coder, Mr. Riggs, and Mrs. Briggs are: Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Owens, and Mr. Mike Nelson (06-24-2000) Theressa Johnson just got a new job. She's moved to Canyon, Texas just south of Amarillo. She will be teaching 8th grade health. She will also be coaching 7th grade volleyball and basketball and JV & Varsity softball in the high school. Congratulations to Theressa! Rhonda Misse (Terbell) is really putting her Chemistry/Forensics degree to work. She was just hired by the Tucson Police Department in their criminology lab. She will be calibrating and testing breathalizer machines. She will be an expert witness for the police department in cases involving the machines. She will eventually move up to doing other tests such as determining if there is evidence to send to the DNA labs. She's doing great and absolutely loving it! And let me tell you, the girl is making the money. Congrats to Rhonda. Gabe Torres just got engaged this past Monday (1/17/2000). The date hasn't been set, but possibly sometime this summer there will be a wedding. Gabe fiancee, Katie, is ecstatic. She's not as tall as Gabe, but the girl is tall. Gabe is finishing his degree here at NAU. Cynthia Cody (Giudice) and her husband Norman are expecting!! Their baby should be born in September. They are both very happy. Congratulations Cynthia!
