Here is a recent newspaper article about the wedding: April Michelle Placencia and Chang-Kun (Charles) Choi were joined in marriage on June 16, 2000 in Tempe. The bride is the daughter of Manuel and Janie Placencia of Willcox. The mother of the groom is Kim-Oak Choi of Tempe. Payal Bhakta served as maid of honor and D.C. Placencia was the bridesmaid. The best man was Bill Tudor, with groomsman Michael Placencia (brother of the bride). The flower girl was Mallory Placencia and ring bearer was Dominic Placencia. A reception and dance followed the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico. The bride is a recent graduate of Arizona State University with a B.S. in nursing and will be employed as an R.N. in labor and delivery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. The groom will be attending medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale. The couple will reside in the Glendale/Phoenix area. April and Charles recently welcomed a new baby into their lives.
